Maranta Leuconeura is a striking tropical plant loved for its patterned foliage and unique daily movement. Its soft, oval leaves are decorated with feathered markings and contrasting veins that look almost hand painted.

One of its common names is Cat Moustache, inspired by the fine, whisker like markings that extend from the midrib of the leaf, resembling delicate cat whiskers across the surface.

It is also widely known as a Prayer Plant. This name comes from its natural movement cycle. During the day, the leaves lay flat to absorb light. As evening approaches, the leaves gently lift and fold upward, resembling hands in prayer. This movement is called nyctinasty and is a natural response to changes in light.
