Piper Porphyrophyllum

Don't get this rare beauty confused with the common Piper Crocatum. This plant has smooth, velvet leaves and darker green patterning. It still gets that striking pink veining on the newer leaves though.

This plant must be grown up a pole and made sure that each set of aerial roots attach to the pole otherwise it will just throw out runners.

I have a few of these available so the one pictured may not be the one you receive but they are of similar size and appearance.
